An Educational Tour for the students of Class VI was organized to the Ever Living Museum on the 1st of November, 2025 to provide a tangible understanding of local history, material culture, and traditional life.
The tour began in the main museum building, which houses a diverse and rich collection of historical objects. Students were able to closely examine artifacts that provided insight into past economies and daily life.This was followed by a visit to the Stone Museum. This section presented a fascinating display of different types of stones showcasing various rock formations, minerals, and stones, offering lessons in earth science and an extensive collection of various shells, emphasizing biodiversity.One of the most valuable learning experiences was the visit to the reconstructed Traditional Khasi Hut. This gave the students a direct view of the architectural and domestic life of a traditional Khasi family.
The students returned with enhanced knowledge and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage preserved within the region.
